DLP Launches Carbon Reduction Plan

Earth Day was established in 1970 with a mission to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. What better day then to launch DLP’s Carbon Reduction Plan, solidifying our organisation’s commitment to driving positive environmental change and being accountable for the environmental impacts of our business.

DLP’s Carbon Reduction Plan includes a commitment to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040 and sets out ambitious targets and actions to minimise our environmental impact across the following areas:

1. Reducing carbon emissions by implementing energy efficient practices
2. Promoting the use of sustainable travel
3. Reducing waste and promoting recycling
4. Encourage sustainable design and lifecycle of products and services

As a practice, DLP has a strong commitment to delivering sustainability and the protection of the environment, both through the buildings we design and the environmental impact of our business. We believe environmental and sustainable design should be embedded in everything we do.

Working closely with our colleagues in sustainability engineering and environmental services we strive to ensure that our designs are informed by environmental considerations from the outset.

Ultimately, we believe in building a more sustainable future and look forward to hitting the ground running by working towards achieving the actions set out in our Carbon Reduction Plan. Our carbon emissions will be reviewed annually so we can monitor our progress against the goals set out in the Plan.
