The specialist Research & Analysis team within DLP provides independent advice and evidence to support applications, plan-making and infrastructure delivery across the private and public sectors. Strategic planning is a fundamental component of the planning system and is at the core of what we do to support the success of projects from inception through to decision-taking and appeal. We undertake a broad range of work including demographic analysis, assessments of housing and employment need and supply, and socio-economic analysis. Our work is used to support planning applications, the promotion of land for development (including managing the release of land from the Green Belt), and the preparation of planning policy.
