Employment Land Review and Office Market Study

DLP’s Research & Analysis team was instructed by Coventry City Council in November 2023 to undertake an Employment Land Review, which would form evidence to support the emerging local plan.

Sonning Common, Widmore Park

DLP Planning Ltd successfully secured planning permission on appeal for the construction of an Integrated Retirement Village (Use Class C2) of up to 133 units. It was a hybrid planning application consisting of (i) full planning permission for 73 assisted living units within a village core building with ancillary communal and care facilities and residential blocks B1 – B4; and (ii) outline permission (all matters reserved except access) for up to 60 assisted living units, landscaping and parking.

Onward Masterplan, Ackworth

DLP Planning were instructed to promote the redevelopment of Onward Business Park at Ackworth, West Yorkshire. The brownfield site comprised of existing warehouses, storage, offices and distribution centres.

South Staffordshire Economic Development Needs Assessment

DLP’s Research & Analysis team was commissioned by South Staffordshire District Council to undertake a comprehensive Economic Development Needs Assessment (EDNA) to identify future employment needs across the district for the period 2020 to 2040. The objective was to provide a robust and up-to-date evidence base to inform the emerging Local Plan.

Millfield Green, Caddington

DLP Planning Ltd successfully secured outline planning permission (all matters reserved except for access) for the construction of an Integrated Retirement Village (Use Class C2) of up to 200 units including affordable housing units, with ancillary community and service space, garden and leisure areas, car parking areas and circulation space, and landscaping.

Bedford Local Plan 2030 and Local Plan 2040 Site Promotion

DLP’s Strategic Planning and Research Unit (SPRU) continues to act on behalf of Bedfordia Developments to promote its land interests as part of the plan-making process in Bedford Borough. The current adopted Local Plan 2030 commenced preparation in January 2014 but was not adopted until January 2021.

Forest Edge South Neighbourhood Plan

DLP Planning was commissioned by West Dean Parish Council to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the Forest Edge South area in the Forest of Dean.

Grange Farm Bovingdon

DLP’s Planning and Research & Analysis teams are delighted to have assisted our clients Taylor Wimpey and Whiteacre Ltd secure planning permission for up to 186 dwellings and 59 units of Extra Care accommodation on land at Grange Farm, Bovingdon.

Woodlands Nurseries

In July 2015, DLP Planning submitted an application for planning permission and Listed Building Consent on behalf of the University of Sheffield for the demolition of workshops and labs, alterations, improvements and repairs to the Sir Frederick Mappin Building and the Central Wing, and the erection of a glazed atrium to provide academic and administrative space alongside the creation of a new entrance to St. George’s Campus from Portobello Street.
